Antique 18ct gold early Victorian mourning ring, (Thomas Alston, Birmingham, 1840). The gallery having a glazed locket containing a loved ones hair, surrounded by seed pearls. The outer border being black enamel with the words in gold "In memory of". Scrolled decorated shoulders & reeded shank. The back plate to the gallery being inscribed "E.Wainwright Died Aug 24th 1847 aged 84". Fully hallmarked. A stunning piece & comes complete with a gift box.
