Description
Antique 18ct gold late Georgian mourning ring. Central turquoise cabochon surrounded by 8 pearls. The shoulders being black enamel, finished with hand chasing on the shank. The hand chasing on the middle of the shank has worn with age, but the beginning & the end of the words "in memory of" can just be seen with an eye glass. Inscribed on the back of the gallery, "Revd. Edward Trevenen OB 10 June 1816". An incredible example & comes complete with a gift box.
