A very good quality antique American solid silver talcum powder shaker. Cylindrical shaped body with a flat base & a semi domed removable lift off lid. Around the outside is beautifully decorated with bright cut hand chased foliate decoration. Under the top lid is a circular pierced top which can be turned to match the holes underneath to open & close shaker, this nicely fitting lid can also be pulled off to fill the shaker. The shaker is marked sterling on each piece & is marked with the makers mark on the underside.  Lovely collectors item.
