Description
A very fine quality antique Austrian-Hungarian solid silver & enamel patch pill box. Oval shaped box with hand painted enamel lid depicting a pastoral scene within a hand chased decorated border. The outer side of the box having embossed enameled flowers & swags all round. Hinged lid with thumb lift. Gilt lined interior. Both the interior of the lid & base are hallmarked. Lovely collectors item.

Condition.
One tiny piece of the transparent lacquer is missing as can be seen in the photographs, but this does not detract from the overall appearance of this box. Other than that, this item is in excellent condition, with light surface marks that are consistent with genuine age, use & polishing.
