A very fine quality antique Austrian solid silver card case. Rectangular shaped box with rounded corners & beautiful fine detail bright cut hand chased decoration on the top with a vacant circular cartouche in the centre. Engine turned decoration around the sides & a shaped lifting lip on the front side edge. A lovely quality box joint secret hinge on the back edge. Hallmarked on the inside of the bottom & the lid with Austrian silver hallmarks. Lovely collectors item.

Condition.
Excellent condition with light surface marks that are consistent with genuine age, use & polishing. There is no damage or dings or dents. The inside surface of the lid have slightly heavier scratches where somebody has possibly been a little overzealous with the cleaning in the past.
