A fine quality antique Austrian solid silver card case. Rectangular shaped box with rounded corners & engine turned & straight line decoration over the outside. The hinged lid is opened by very gently pressing the front side panel which releases the sprung hinged lid. The lid can be fully opened by holding in one hand & pushing the front with your thumb. Hallmarked on the inside of the bottom & the lid with Austrian silver hallmarks for post 1925, not sure who the makers mark is. Inscribed on the inside rim of the lid are the words "M.Hubner Wien L koulmarkt 20", not sure of the meaning of this except for wien is Vienna in German. Lovely collectors item which comes complete with it's original soft cotton pouch.

Condition.
Excellent condition with light surface marks that are consistent with genuine age, use & polishing. There is no damage or dings or dents except for several tiny little knocks on the front bottom edge & there is a very very light surface scratch across the top & bottom, this mark can only be seen on the top when turned into the right light so is very unnoticeable.
