Description
Antique Dunhill Art Deco purse watch. Rectangular shaped solid silver case with geometric design decoration around the outside. Double hinged lid on the top which when the two sprung loaded buttons on the side are pressed opens to reveal the square faced manual wind calibre watch inside. The watch is on a hinge which lifts up & is held in place by the sprung lid sides. The watch was in working order however it has recently stopped running. The main spring is still winding & the balance wheel operates for a short time if mechanically moved. In reality the movement needs stripping down, cleaning & serviced if you require the watch to be wound & used on a regular basis. I am selling this watch as not running. The watch back has an engraving on dating to the year 1940. The silver case is fully hallmarked with English import hallmarks. Lovely collectors item. Please study the photographs carefully as they form part of the overall description.
