Description
Antique early Victorian 14ct gold almandine garnet & pearl mourning ring. A central pearl surrounded by almandine garnets & seed pearls in a foliate cluster set in 14ct gold. All stones are crimped collet set. The shoulders being decoratively pierced & finished with fine hand chased decoration, leading to a plain shank. The back of the gallery having a bezel set glass (most probably rock crystal) locket area where the plaited hair of a loved one can be seen. Not marked but tested as 14ct gold. A fantastic example.
