Description
Antique Edwardian 9ct gold pendant/brooch, in the form of a dog (hound/beagle). The 9ct gold pendant/brooch being encrusted with rose cut diamonds claw set into silver. In Victorian/Edwardian times, diamonds set into silver was thought to enhance their sparkle & colour by candle light. The eye of the dog bezel set with a ruby & the chain collar bezel set with an emerald. The rose cut diamonds measuring 1mm each(approximately 0.43ct total diamond weight), whilst the emerald & ruby measuring 2mm each. Pin to verso with C catch. The piece stamped 375 for 9ct gold on the chain loop & the pin & also a stamp 925 for sterling silver which the rose cut diamonds are claw set into on the pendant/brooch. Chain not included. An absolutely stunning piece of craftmanship from the Edwardian era. With gift box. Ultrasonically cleaned. Please study the photographs carefully as they form part of the overall description.
