Antique English Edwardian Solid Silver jewellery Box, (William Comyns, 1909)
A fine quality antique Edwardian solid sterling silver jewellery box. Rectangular shaped box with undulating wavy sides on the front & side edges & raised on four foliate decorated corner feet. A gentle do domed hinged lid on the top beautifully decorated with a raised ancient Grecian image surrounded by urn, swags & foliate decoration. On the front is a small fully working lock with it's original key & when unlocked the lid lifts up. Inside is a nicely lined light blue/green velvet & silk interior with positions for five rings at the back & other jewellery at the front. The box is fully hallmarked on the side edge. Lovely collectors item.
