A very fine quality antique English late Victorian solid sterling silver snuff box. Circular shaped box with bright cut hand chased foliate decoration around the outside edge & a vacant cartouche. Nice fitting lift off domed lid with a beautiful repousse scene of a lady & gentleman in a country setting. Fully hallmarked on the side of the lid. Lovely collectors item.

Condition.
Excellent condition with light surface marks that are consistent with genuine age, use & polishing. The lid scene is very slightly rubbed due to polishing so some of the detail on the very extremities is not quite as crisp as it would have been when new. Because of the heavy gauge silver there are no holes in the lid. There is no damage or dings or dents.
