A very fine quality antique French Georgian solid sterling silver snuff box. Rectangular shaped box with bevelled sides & beautiful fine detail bright cut hand chased foliate decoration on the top with a repousse foliate decorated border around the outside. A vacant cartouche in the centre of the top & a nicely fitting hinged lid with a very good quality tight hinge on the back. Gilt lined interior & hallmarked on the rim of the bottom & the outside of the lid with the French Minerva mark for silver. Lovely collectors item.
