Description
Antique Georgian 18ct gold emerald half pearl forget me not mourning ring, c1800. A central round cut emerald crimped collet set, surrounded by a halo of collet set half pearl, set in 18ct gold. The shoulders being slightly open with fine hand chased decoration leading to a reeded shank. At the center back of the gallery is a locket area where the hair of a loved one would have been, sadly the glass, (rock crystal) is missing as is so often the case with a ring of this age. Not marked but tested as 18ct gold. A fine example & great addition to any collection. With gift box. Please study the photographs carefully as they form part of the overall description.
