Antique mid Victorian  black jet 18ct gold seed pearl mourning brooch. Oval shaped black jet mourning brooch, to the front an impressive 18ct gold fancy script for " In memory Of" adorned with seed pearls. To the underside an 18ct gold bezel set with a glass panel (most probably rock crystal) with a photograph of a Victorian gentleman. C Catch pin & original safety chain to verso. A stunning piece to add to any collection. With gift box.

Condition.
 A tiny chip to the top edge of the brooch which can be seen in the photographs, but this does not detract from the overall appearance of this piece. Apart from that, this brooch is in excellent condition for it's age.
