Antique Victorian solid 10ct gold ruler propelling pencil. Oval shaped body with beautiful bright cut hand chased foliate decoration around the outside & on one side is a three & a quarter inch ruler engraved into the body. In the centre is a sliding band with matching decoration which extends & retracts the internal pencil tip. The pencil tip has a twist action which extends & retracts the pencil lead mechanism. Both pencil mechanisms are in excellent working order. The pencil comes complete with a lead in the tip. The pencil is not hallmarked but has the Sampson Mordan arrow mark at the top end & has been acid tested to confirm that it is 10ct gold. Lovely collectors item.
