A rare antique Victorian solid sterling silver novelty propelling pencil in the form of a piece of bamboo. Cylindrical shaped body with a suspension loop & ring at the top. Pulling the bottom section extends the pencil & the internal pencil tip. The pencil tip has a twist action which extends & retracts the pencil lead mechanism. Both mechanisms are in good working condition. The pencil comes complete with a pencil lead in the tip. The pencil is marked in the inside drawer with the makers mark. Lovely collectors item.
