A rare antique Edwardian solid sterling silver propelling carpenters pencil & letter opener. Oval shaped plain body with raised band at the bottom & a suspension loop & ring at the top. On one side is a silver sliding button with inset turquoise cabochon gemstone. The sliding button extends & retracts the internal replaceable carpenters pencil. On the opposite side is a very unusual swivelling letter opener blade. The pencil & the letter blade are both fully hallmarked. Lovely collectors item.
