Description
Antique Victorian 15ct gold ruby & diamond cluster novelty fox ring, c1880. 24 Rose cut diamonds & 2 rubies claw set in silver in a fox face shaped gallery, set on a 15ct gold shank. Fine hand chased decoration from the shoulders continuing on the outer side of the shank. The diamonds & rubies being set in silver were thought to enhance the colour of the stones. Not marked, but tested as 15ct gold. An excellent piece of jewellery from the Victorian era. With gift box.
