Description
Antique Victorian 15ct gold sardonyx forget me not hair mourning ring, 1870. 15ct Gold mourning ring with a bezel set hand carved sardonyx depicting a forget me not. The shoulders being shaped with fine hand chased decoration. the open shank revealing plaited hair of a loved one. To the inside of the shank an inscription reads "R E J M obt 18th February 1870".  Stamped 15ct & maker's mark. A fantastic piece from the Victorian era & fine example to add to any collection. Condition.
A tiny piece of the gold bezel is missing from the top of the sardonyx which can be seen in the photographs, but this does not detract from the overall appearance of this ring. Other than that, this ring is in excellent condition for it's age
