Description
Antique Victorian 18ct gold diamond solitaire gypsy ring, Birmingham 1900. Single brilliant round cut diamond claw set in a star setting set in 18ct gold. The brilliant cut diamond total weight being 0.23ct approximately, clarity grade VVS1, colour grade H. The shank's widest part at the front measuring 7mm top to bottom, graduating to 3mm to the back. Fully hallmarked to the inside of the shank. Complete with it's original leatherette presentation case with satin & velvet interior. The case being quite worn. Found in the interior of the lid, a hand written piece of paper reads, "18 Carat gold pure brilliant diamond ring full of lustre. 6 sept 1900", intials signed by the jeweller. The paper has been placed back into situ. The ring ultrasonically cleaned. A fabulous piece with it's own bit of Victorian history.
