Description
Antique Victorian 18ct gold onyx pearl mourning brooch, c1860. Oval black onyx with a claw set pearl to the center, set in an 18ct gold mount with black enamel Greek decoration finished with a rope edge. Glass locket area to verso with the hair & a photograph of a loved one still intact. A small hinged loop with safety chain at the top of the brooch & clip to the bottom to keep the brooch in place when worn. Tube hinge pin & C catch to verso. This item comes complete with it's original leather tooled presentation case. Not marked but tested as 18ct gold.  Please study the photographs carefully as they form part of the overall description.
