Antique Victorian 18ct gold ruby & diamond dress ring, c1880. 5 Old cut Diamonds & 5 rubies claw & prong set in a checkerboard design across the gallery set in 18ct gold. The diamonds total weight being 0.25ct approximately, colour grade E-F, clarity grade VVS1. The rubies total weight matching the diamonds at 0.25ct approximately & of pinky purple colour. Good width of shank at 2mm. Not marked but tested as 18ct gold. An eye catching piece, excellent collectors item. With gift box. Condition.
No hand chasing visible to one of the side prongs as it has worn with age, as can be seen in the photographs. This does not detract from this ring's overall appearance. Other than that, this ring is in excellent condition.
