Antique Victorian 9ct gold diamond mourning brooch, (Birmingham, 1898) with original box. 9ct gold mourning brooch from the Aesthetic period. Beautifully detailed design to this brooch. Central claw set diamond in a star setting.The diamond approximately 0.024ct. Pin & glass compartment verso. The compartment still containing a loved ones hair. Safety chain intact. Fully hall marked & complete with original presentation case. The inside of the lid with the jeweller's name, "John R Banfield, High St, Bridgwater". An excellent piece to add to a collection.
