Antique English Victorian solid sterling silver combination propelling pencil & dip pen. Nice large size hexagonal shaped body with beautiful bright cut hand chased foliate decoration around the outside & a monogrammed cartouche on one side. Plain stepped band at the bottom & a removable tapering screw top end with repousse decoration & finished on the end with an initialled gemstone cap seal. Inside the top end is a small compartment for storing spare pencil leads. The is a beautiful repousse decorated sliding button on either side, one extends & retracts the internal propelling pencil & the other extends & retracts the internal propelling dip pen. The pencil has a twist action tip which extends & retracts the pencil lead mechanism. All the mechanisms are in excellent working order. The pencil comes complete with a pencil lead in the tip & two spare leads in the top. It also comes complete with a nib in the dip pen. Fully hallmarked on the side of the body. Lovely collectors item.
