Antique Victorian novelty propelling pencil modelled in the form of a blacksmith's hammer. Cylindrical shaped Silver plated body with a hammer head top. By turning the hammer head top the internal propelling pencil lead extends & retracts which is in complete working order. The pencil comes complete with a lead inside. Stamped on the side of the pencil "Lyra Bavaria" which is a German company still in existence today making pencils. Lovely collectors item.
