Antique Victorian solid sterling silver propelling pencil. Cylindrical shaped body with engine turned decoration around the outside. At the bottom end is a plain stepped band & at the top is a circular shaped plain removable screw top with an inset milky jade gemstone cap seal on the end. Inside the top is a small revolver/pepper pot compartment for storing spare leads. In the centre is a sliding band which extends & retracts the internal pencil mechanism. The pencil has a twist action tip which extends & retracts the pencil lead mechanism. Both pencil mechanisms are in excellent working order. The pencil comes complete with a lead in the tip & two spare leads in the top compartment. The pencil is marked on the side of the body with the makers mark & is fully hallmarked on the other side. A very nice early clean example, lovely collectors item.
