Description
Antique Victorian solid silver Chinese Export nurse's buckle, Shanghai, c1880. Rectangular shaped buckle, made in two halves with high quality intricate repousse & fine hand chased decoration to the front with cherry blossom. Hook clip fastening with belt loops attached to verso. Stamped with the maker's mark & accompanied by Chinese character marks, unfortunately hard to read as quite rubbed with age, but can make out the location mark "Shanghai".  Lovely collectors item.
