Description
Antique Victorian solid silver oversized chinoiserie locket pendant, c1880. Solid silver oversized locket pendant with fine repousse work of an oriental scene to the front panel, plain silver back panel. The chain loop having fine hand chased acanthus leaf decoration. To the interiorr, sadly only one side has the glass panel housing the piece of cloth still intact. Not marked but tested as solid silver. Maker's mark on the inside of the chain loop has been rubbed away with age. A very impressive piece.
