A fine quality antique solid sterling silver & glass hip flask. Rectangular shaped faceted glass body with curved edges & flat base. At the bottom is a solid silver removable drinking cup & on the top is a domed hinged lid with bayonet catch & internal cork seal. On the front is the engraved crest of Sir Charles William Cayzer, 3rd Baronet of Gartmore in Scotland & Conservative Party MP during the 1920's & 30's. Although not purchased directly from the family we can almost certainly assume that this hip flask one belonged to Charles Cayzer. I have included & photograph of the aforementioned above & a link to more information about him. Fully hallmarked on the outside of the drinking cup & the rim of the lid. lovely collectors item.
